The Sophia Dialogues

The Sophia Dialogues will invite leading thinkers of the age to discuss cutting edge ideas in the arts and sciences through interviews and interactive session with members of the audience.  No subject is too small or too obscure to explore but all efforts will be made to bring Sophia type thinkers to the network.  Sophia thinkers are those who have abandoned reductionist theories to look at the world in a more holistic manner.   They are also those who see the value in bringing the arts and the sciences together in innovative ways.  Whether it is a poet or a mathematician, the Sophia thinker does not allow conventional thinking to limit his or her horizons.

Join us on Friday, November 5, 2010 when the Sophia Network welcomes James Hollis, PhD, to Toronto for an on stage dialogue with one of the most important voices of our time.  James Hollis is the author of thirteen books including, "Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life" and "What Matters Most".   His books encourage us to explore the meaning questions in life including:  Why are we here? What is the meaning of existence? What truly matters the most in life? Hollis reminds us that to  even begin to answer these questions, we must start by exploring our own internal ideals, values, and beliefs.
